Job summary

SecureVision in Orange Beach, AL seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise routing infrastructure for fiber networks across multiple sites. You will configure BGP/OSPF, VLANs, QoS, VPNs, and high-availability setups while supporting ASN operations and carrier connectivity.

The role emphasizes IP addressing strategies, documentation, and change management, with travel across Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, TCP/IP networking, subnetting, CIDR, and IP address planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise routing infrastructure for our fiber network.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and related routing technologies.
• Administer VLANs, Layer 2/3 switching, inter-VLAN routing, QoS, VPNs, and high-availability setups.
• Manage ASN operations, upstream peering, and carrier connectivity.
• Perform firmware updates, security hardening, and configuration control for production gear.
• Develop IP addressing strategies using subnetting, CIDR, VLSM, and route summarization.
• Handle IPAM processes, documentation, and utilization reporting.
• Coordinate ARIN resources, SWIP, and assignment records.
• Participate in capacity planning, network expansion, and long-term design.
• Maintain Layer 2/3 switching across enterprise and access networks.
• Implement VLANs, RSTP/STP, LACP, port security, and segmentation.
• Maintain standards across multi-vendor environments.
• Support GPON/EPON fiber access infrastructure, provisioning, and activations.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, fiber transport, and customer connectivity issues.
• Coordinate deployments, carrier circuits, and network cutovers.
• Collaborate with field techs during installs and restorations.

• Experience supporting fiber access networks, carrier connectivity, and multi-site enterprise infrastructure is preferred.
• Industry certifications such as MikroTik (MTCNA, MTCRE), Cisco (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or similar networking credentials are preferred.
• A valid drivers license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record is required.
• You must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Company:

We are SecureVision, and our Network Engineer role is based in Orange Beach, Alabama, with travel throughout the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast to support residential, hospitality, commercial, and multi-dwelling properties. This exempt, in-person position works within our Network Operations team and reports to the Director of Technical Services. The role comes with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, along with benefits including 401(k), dental, health, life, paid time off, and vision insurance. The work environment includes office-based duties as well as site visits to telecommunications closets, equipment racks, MDF/IDF rooms, rooftops, and outdoor infrastructure locations.
