Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Network Engineer Mid to support a U.S. Navy program in Norfolk, VA. This onsite role requires an active Secret Clearance and hands-on expertise with WAN/LAN, security, and network infrastructure.

You will lead Tier III incident resolutions, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive implementation plans, lab validation, and change management to ensure high availability and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• 5+ years of technical experience in network, systems, and infra.
• IAT II certification and CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Expertise in BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN and network boundary engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier III support for complex enterprise network issues and vendor escalations.
• Engineer and secure large-scale network infrastructure including routing, switching, SD-WAN, WLAN, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Serve as a network SME, driving advanced troubleshooting and reliability improvements.
• Develop and execute network implementation plans, upgrades, and change management.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve stability.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to deliver scalable network solutions.
