Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployed Support Specialist to support a U.S. Navy program in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on evaluating network and systems environments, developing technical solutions, and troubleshooting complex issues across deployed environments.

Responsibilities include designing secure network solutions, deploying configurations for USMC operations, and providing IA support. Onsite work with long-term contract mobility and comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 4+ years of technical experience supporting network, systems, and infrastructure.
• IAT II certification (Security+CE or higher) required.
• Network certification preferred (CCNA).
• Experience with network architecture, configuration, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing technical documentation and deployment plans.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mission and technical requirements to design secure network and system solutions.
• Plan and implement network, infrastructure, and deployment solutions for USMC operations.
• Test, validate, and optimize configurations to ensure performance, security, and readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex network and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, diagrams, and reports.
• Evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and solution alternatives to support mission objectives.
• Coordinate with government personnel, engineers, and stakeholders for deployment and continuity of operations.
• Support Information Assurance (IA) requirements and security controls.
• Manage deployment readiness, including hardware/software validation and preparation.
• Support deployment execution and logistics planning, and resolve operational issues.
• Conduct post-deployment reviews and capture lessons learned.
