Job summary

Compucom Staffing in Miami, FL is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join the onsite team and support the client’s network infrastructure.

Responsibilities include configuring Cisco IOS, upgrading IOS, maintaining Visio drawings, and coordinating with IT teams using JIRA and ServiceNow. Candidates should have CCNA (CCNP preferred), 5+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license with local travel ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• CCNA is the minimum; CCNP preferred, with equivalent work experience.
• Deep Cisco Router knowledge and ability to document work and status updates.

Responsibilities

• Install office networks with Cisco Routers/Switches (Catalyst series).
• Troubleshoot network problems including wiring and hardware configuration.
• Rack and stack Cisco switches in standalone or stack configurations.
• Upgrade Cisco IOS via network or console port and manage interfaces.
• Use Cisco IOS to configure VLANs, hostnames, passwords, and SSH/telnet.
• Maintain Visio network site drawings and update project schedules in JIRA/Excel.
• Enter change tickets in ServiceNow.

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Network Engineer to join their team onsite in Miami, FL and provide support. The ideal candidate must possess a valid drivers license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Install office networks consisting of Cisco Routers / Switches such as the Cisco Catalyst C3650 / C3850 / C3560 / C9300 switch families
• Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing network problems including physical wiring (copper / fiber) or hardware configuration problems
• Rack and stack Cisco switches in standalone or stack configurations
• Upgrade Cisco IOS over the network via TFTP / FTP or locally via the console port
• Effective in using Cisco IOS to manage and configure basic switch and router configurations including configuring interfaces with IP addresses, configuring hostnames and passwords, viewing current configurations for troubleshooting, setting up telnet and SSH, configuring VLANs, and upgrading IOS
• Run Cisco Prime Reports and Gather Due Diligence Data for Site Changes
• Maintain Visio Network Site Drawings
• Update Project Schedule in JIRA and Excel
• Enter Change Tickets in ServiceNow

Minimum Education Required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience
• CCNP Preferred, CCNA minimum required with equivalent work experience
• Deep Cisco Router knowledge
• Ability to document work and status updates and collaborate in a matrix environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Flexibility to travel locally up to 2-3 hours (not usual)

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $36.00 - $48.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
