Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Network Engineer III to design, implement, and troubleshoot data communications for all locations. The role emphasizes cloud-focused network architecture, WAN/LAN planning, and enterprise project collaboration.

The position requires 5+ years in network planning and operations, with expertise in SD-WAN, VPN, and L2/L3 routing. On-site presence at the Irondale, AL data center is preferred, with remote consideration for a strong candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years planning, implementing, and maintaining critical environments
• Experience with Wide-area networking technologies and related hardware (Cisco/Arista/Fortinet)
• High-end L2/L3 routing and switching – spine and leaf
• SD-WAN/VPN/bas ic firewall exposure
• Data Center, Cloud, Branch and Internet connectivity – complex BGP routing
• Enterprise network management tools including packet analysis

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot data communications systems for all locations
• Provide network architecture planning, design and implementation with cloud expertise preferred
• 3rd level network support and problem resolution
• Interact with corporate teams for enterprise projects
• Maintain WAN/LAN documentation and DR procedures
• Change management, software updates and configuration management
• Operate and maintain network management platforms
• Engage with NOC, Operations, vendors to maintain a stable network environment
• Support disaster recovery implementations including cloud
