Job summary

TekSynap seeks a skilled Network Engineer in the United States to support LAN and WLAN modernization projects. You will work under a senior engineer on survey, design, configuration, and implementation tasks across Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, and Cisco hardware to ensure capacity, redundancy, and strong signal strength.

The role emphasizes cybersecurity alignment, implementation planning, and detailed project documentation, with opportunities to participate in diverse government-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required or eligible for clearable status.
• BS in electrical, computer, or electronics engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of LAN/WLAN network surveys, design, configuration, and implementation preferred.
• Two years of technical training; proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, or RCNA; IAT Level II certifications such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP are required.

Responsibilities

• Support LAN/WLAN survey, design, and implementation under supervision.
• Evaluate hardware options (Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, Cisco) for capacity and signal quality.
• Configure and install network devices (routers, switches, wireless controllers, APs).
• Develop CAN/VLAN migrations, IP addressing plans, and subnet strategies.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements meet organizational standards and document deployments.
