Job summary

Saicon is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Kuiper lab technical team in Redmond, WA. You will design and build the network that enables Kuiper, define the long-term vision, and implement terrestrial network solutions.

The role collaborates with engineers and leaders to define connectivity, provides technical leadership for global site deployments, and supports the full lifecycle of networking, including tooling and monitoring. Export control requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 1+ years in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 3+ years with Cisco and/or Juniper network gear.

In this role as a Network Development Engineer, you will be part of the lab technical team designing and building the network that enables Kuiper. Define the long term vision, design the technical solutions, and implement the design. This role is focused on our terrestrial network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the org to define connectivity solutions for Kuiper.


• Provide technical leadership for Kuiper's terrestrial network plan and implementation for sites around the world.


• Define network solutions for Kuiper's launch, manufacturing, and lab sites.


• Support and champion the full lifecycle of networking, including enabling improved support tooling and monitoring capabilities.


• Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience


• 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience


• 3+ years of working with Cisco and/or Juniper network gear

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience


• 3+ years building networking solutions for global deployments


• Experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway
