Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • CISSP/CISM/CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in WAN/LAN design selection and evaluation with stakeholders.
  • Install, upgrade, configure and support enterprise WAN/LAN equipment.
  • Develop and deliver project plans, documents, and user training.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for network issues.
  • Perform service cost analyses and feasibility studies.

Participates in or provides leadership in the WAN/LAN design selection and evaluation process in coordination with functional departments. May develop a request for proposals and be involved in the pre-contract negotiation of information systems. Install, upgrade, configure and support enterprise-wide WAN/LAN equipment. Evaluate, configure develop and test network and systems application software to ensure proper functionality at the network infrastructure level. Develop and provide ongoing WAN/LAN security monitoring to safeguard patient data. Under the direction of the Lead Network Engineer, responsible for an assigned shift as scheduled and for responding to problems 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements I.S. applications using project management.
