Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation seeks a skilled Network Engineer II to design, implement, and operate the company’s global network infrastructure across multiple sites in Salt Lake City and beyond. You will handle routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, and WAN tasks while collaborating with Cybersecurity and Systems teams to ensure reliable, scalable connectivity.

The role emphasizes standalone operation with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure modernization and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
3-6 years of enterprise networking experience.
Experience supporting routing and switching environments.
Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks.
Experience supporting firewalls and VPN technologies.
Experience implementing infrastructure projects.
Experience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

Support enterprise routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, and WAN infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and service disruptions.
Maintain network diagrams and operational documentation.
Deploy network equipment and services and participate in upgrades.
Assist with cybersecurity investigations and remediation.
Coordinate with telecom providers and vendors.
Follow change-management processes and incident response plans.
Document actions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
