Varex Imaging is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and support enterprise networking infrastructure across our global operations, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN services. You will contribute to modernization efforts and ensure security and reliability across office, data center, and manufacturing sites.

The role requires 3–6 years of experience in enterprise networking, proficiency with Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, and Azure networking, and

Summary

The Network Engineer II is responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the enterprise network infrastructure that enables Varex Imaging's global business operations. This role provides engineering support for routing, switching, wireless networking, firewalls, VPN connectivity, WAN services, and cloud-connected infrastructure across corporate, engineering, and manufacturing locations.

Essential Functions

Network Engineering and Operations

• Support enterprise routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, and WAN infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and service disruptions.
• Monitor network performance, reliability, and capacity.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain operational support documentation and network diagrams.

Infrastructure Projects

• Implement approved network designs and standards.
• Deploy network equipment and services.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Support site expansions, office moves, facility changes, and technology refreshes.
• Coordinate testing, validation, and transition to operational support.

Security and Compliance

• Support firewall administration and network security controls.
• Implement approved network access and segmentation requirements.
• Assist in cybersecurity investigations and remediation activities.
• Maintain compliance with corporate security policies and IT governance requirements.
• Support audit and compliance requests.

Change and Incident Management

• Execute changes through approved change-management processes.
• Participate in incident response and major incident activities.
• Develop implementation plans, rollback plans, and validation procedures.
• Document actions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.

Vendor and Carrier Management

• Coordinate with telecommunications and internet service providers.
• Escalate service issues and track corrective actions.
• Support vendor onboarding, evaluations, and technical reviews.
• Assist with service migrations and carrier implementations.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Update network diagrams and operational procedures.
• Contribute to knowledge articles and support documentation.
• Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing activities.

Typical Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in related field
• 3-6 years of enterprise networking experience.
• Experience supporting routing and switching environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks.
• Experience supporting firewalls and VPN technologies.
• Experience implementing infrastructure projects.
• Experience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Certifications

• One or more of the following: Juniper JNCIA
• Cisco CCNA
• Fortinet Certified Associate
• Aruba Certified Associate
• ITIL Foundation

Technical Experience

• Experience with: Juniper networking technologies
• Juniper Mist wireless

Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in office , data center , warehouse , and manufacturing environments.

Ability to lift and move equipment up to established corporate safety guidelines.

Ability to work occasionally outside normal business hours during maintenance activities and incidents.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.
