Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking a Network Engineer II for our Dallas, TX headquarters to implement and manage enterprise network architecture. You will work with Aruba, Cisco, SD-WAN, and Azure technologies, ensuring performance and reliability across WAN, LAN, and security controls.

The role emphasizes routing, switching, WLAN, cloud integration, monitoring, and incident reporting. Travel to field sites or conferences may be required, and the company offers ESOP and strong benefits.

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience with Aruba and/or Cisco technologies.
2–3 years of experience with ClearPass and Aruba Wireless.
Experience with Cloud network Architecture (AWS or Azure).
Experience with Palo Firewall and Panorama desirable.
2–3 years of experience with network access control systems (ClearPass or Cisco ISE) and cloud security platforms desirable.
2–3 years of experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds).

Responsibilities

Implement enterprise network architecture including routing, switching, and WLAN.
Manage WAN connectivity and SD-WAN using Velo Cloud and VPNs (IPSec & SSL).
Perform IPv4 subnetting and manage dynamic routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
Configure and manage Aruba/Cisco routers and switches.
Manage cloud network architecture (AWS or Azure, Azure preferred).
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
Manage Aruba Central and VeloCloud SD-WAN environments.
Maintain security devices (Palo Alto, Firewalls) and IDS/IPS systems.
Develop and maintain L2/L3 networks.
Use Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds for monitoring.
