Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Network Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud environments. You will develop automation scripts and AI-enabled monitoring to improve performance, security, and reliability.

You will guide implementable solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale network operations. The role emphasizes hands-on networking, scripting, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, Fortune 500 technology distribution setting.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in design, deployment and operation of complex network environments.
Proficiency in network automation and scripting using modern tools and APIs.
CCNP or equivalent certification and hands-on experience with Python, Bicep and Terraform.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize company networks, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software; plan upgrades.
Analyze performance, security, and reliability; implement improvements.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and AI-enabled monitoring for network operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into workflows.
Provide technical leadership and coaching on networking best practices.
