The role supports the Principal Network Engineer in administering and securing networks, databases, operating systems, backups, and related infrastructure to sustain Authority operations.

You will assist with configuring firewalls, routers, switches, VPN devices, and SIP/VoIP services across a distributed environment; participate in disaster recovery planning and ongoing

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred
• 1 year experience in Cisco networking technologies (Routing and Switching preferred)
• 1 year experience in network security preferred

Aufgaben

• Support management, configuration, administration, and monitoring of firewalls, networks, and security
• Support engineering of system-related solutions and document standards
• Protect Authority networks from security breaches; investigate and mitigate incidents
• Assist with SIP/VoIP across WAN; monitor and verify system integrity and availability
• Perform daily system monitoring and backup verification; manage logs and jobs
• Apply patches and upgrades; manage IP addresses and services
• Manage user accounts per requests; secure data
• Upgrade hardware/software and coordinate with vendors
• Provide backup to Principal Network Engineer
• Deliver high-level customer service to internal and external customers
