Job summary

FiberLight LLC is seeking a Network Engineer I to configure Layer 2 and Layer 3 services on Cisco and Juniper platforms. You will maintain circuit records in Carma, 3GIS, SiteTracker, and SolarWinds, and support the provisioning team with activations and migrations.

Overnight maintenance windows and cross-functional coordination are required. The role emphasizes meticulous record-keeping, troubleshooting, and clear communication with the NOC and customers, with opportunities to grow into senior

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in network engineering or telecommunications.
• Hands-on experience configuring Layer 2 services (Ethernet, MPLS, EVPL).
• Knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, ISIS).
• Experience with Juniper and/or Cisco equipment.
• Experience using network management/inventory systems (Carma, 3GIS, SiteTracker, SolarWinds).
• Willingness to work overnight maintenance windows.
• Associate's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Configure Layer 2 and Layer 3 services on Cisco/Juniper platforms.
• Maintain circuit records in Carma, 3GIS, SiteTracker, SolarWinds.
• Participate in overnight maintenance windows and document outcomes.
• Support provisioning team with activations, migrations, and turn-ups.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and coordinate with NOC and customers.
