Job summary

Otter Tail Power Company’s OTP High Tech Center in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking a Network Engineer to design, secure, and optimize our enterprise and industrial computer networks, ensuring reliability and efficiency across the utility. You will evaluate system performance, implement improvements, manage patching and cybersecurity, and collaborate with internal and external engineers to meet OTP standards.

Qualified candidates should have knowledge of IP networking, LAN/WAN, wireless, routing

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher preferred in telecommunications engineering, network engineering, computer science or equivalent.
Knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols and networking security is preferred.
Strong collaboration and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate system performance to ensure reliability and availability meets the needs of the company and recommend projects to enhance or improve.
Analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities and execute patch management and root cause mitigation strategies.
Design and implement continuous improvement strategies that increase efficiencies through automation.
Collaborate with internal and external engineers to ensure projects meets OTP’s standards.
