Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Network Engineer 1 to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network environments. The role focuses on building secure infrastructure, supporting system architecture, and reliable performance across datacenter and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will work hands-on with network hardware and security technologies, contribute to network design, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support in complex environments, including on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, including LAN design, architecture, and security.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent).
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPsec VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of network architecture across LAN and datacenter environments.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
• Implement and maintain secure network configurations, including VPNs and access controls.
• Work with TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching to ensure optimal network functionality.
• Support firewall configurations and enforce network security boundaries.
