Job summary

Bluebird Fiber is seeking a Network Engineer I to design and deploy core IP solutions across the company’s transport and routed Internet platforms. You will participate in change management, test planning, and documentation while providing Tier-1 to Tier-2 support.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years in Telecommunications/IP-MPLS-Ethernet environment or equivalent.
• Experience in transport LAN/WAN data networks and network management systems.
• Experience with equipment configuration programming.
• Degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy core IP network solutions for scale and high availability.
• Oversee layer 1–3 designs and proper implementation procedures.
• Lead change management, testing, and documentation for network deployments.
• Troubleshoot outages and coordinate with provisioning and operations teams.
