Job summary

FLASH Technology Group is seeking a Network Engineer I to join our defense-focused team in Laurel, MD. This role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and US citizenship, with responsibilities centered on complex IT networking tasks and secure operations.

You will leverage hands-on experience in troubleshooting, routers/switches, Cisco IOS/Junos, and firewalls to support government contracts. Competitive compensation and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 16+ years IT-related experience with a relevant degree, or 5 years IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+) is required.
• Experience in two or more of the listed areas.
• Experience providing highly technical guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Ability to perform elaborate analyses and prepare reports and presentations.
• Must be a US Citizen.

• 5 years total of IT related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
• Network troubleshooting
• Routers/switches
• Cisco IOS/Junos OS
• Firewalls
• LAN/WAN/CAN
• Hubs/Bridges/gateways
• Network packet investigation/analysis tools
• Database tools
• Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Ability to perform elaborate analyses and studies and prepare reports and give presentations.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Approximate Salary Range: $155,000 - $180,000

A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
