Job summary
FEDITC, LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the DHS Wide Area Network, including design, deployment, and modernization of core network services. You will work with Cisco routing/switching, VPN, load-balancers and Palo Alto firewalls to deliver secure, scalable solutions for DHS components and NOSC operations.
The role requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, on-call environment, with a preference for candidates having DHS
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching and firewall technology (ISR/ASR/CSR/ASA/Nexus)
- 2+ years working in a WAN environment; incident and operations management
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP/EIGRP/OSPF) and network protocols (TCP/IP/GRE/IPSEC/VRF)
- CCNA certification and security awareness in enterprise networks
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis, document details in tickets and knowledge repositories
- Work night shifts for CR implementations and participate in on-call rotation for NOSC/escalated incidents
- Develop WAN network solutions with DHS components while complying with architecture standards
- Produce SELC artifacts: requirements, design diagrams, and project documentation
