Job summary

HP is seeking aNetwork Engineer to design and implement network solutions across LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless, and security. You will validate configurations, document results, and work with internal teams and partners to deliver scalable, cost-effective networks.

Ideal candidates typically hold a four-year degree in a related field with 2–4 years of experience; CCNA/CCNP certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent.
• Typically 2–4 years of related network experience, or an advanced degree with limited experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs portions of network solutions including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless, and network security based on standards.
• Develops and executes test plans to validate configurations and troubleshoot issues.
• Creates validation plans for reliability, redundancy, latency, throughput, failover, and security compliance; documents results.
• Implements network changes with accurate documentation and change records.
• Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors on network design, deployment, and optimization.
• Provides support for network changes, approvals, vendor evaluations, and technical reviews.
• Participates in cross-functional project teams to support network initiatives and knowledge transfer.
• Develops recommendations, reports, and tech documentation from network performance data.
