Job summary

Smart City Networks is seeking a senior network engineer to design, deploy, and manage core and edge networking infrastructure across venues. You will handle routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and IPsec, lead site migrations, and work with carriers and vendors to ensure reliable connectivity during live events.

Strong scripting and documentation skills are a plus. You will collaborate with teams to produce accurate network documentation and maintain scalable, secure, and standardized

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years in network engineering or advanced network administration with a LAN/WAN focus, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: Current, relevant industry certifications required (e.g., CCNA/CCNP). CCNP-level certification or above preferred. Cisco certifications are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy core and edge networking infrastructure.
• Lead site cutovers to Smart City-owned infrastructure and migrations for consistency across venues.
• Act as Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation for NOC and field operations; perform root-cause analysis and drive resolutions.
• Provision and troubleshoot network connectivity including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, IPsec, DHCP, DNS.
