Job summary

SubCom in Newington, NH is seeking a Network Engineer to monitor, support, and maintain network and infrastructure across corporate IT, remote sites, vessel environments, and cloud environments. You will ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity with proactive monitoring and incident resolution.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in IT/Networking, strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP), plus ability to work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Networking or related field required.
• Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP in enterprise networks required.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in real time with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure across corporate IT, remote sites, vessel environments and NOC networks to ensure high availability and performance.
• Support cloud networking environments in Azure, AWS and GCP, including security and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and outages with root cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Manage WAN, Internet, telecommunications, and carrier connectivity in coordination with service providers.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise wireless infrastructure.
• Support NOC operations, including alert monitoring, escalation handling, and incident coordination.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
