Job summary

City and County of Denver’s Technology Services is hiring an Associate IT Network Engineer to manage wired and wireless network infrastructure across city facilities. You will respond to outages, perform IOS upgrades, and ensure reliable access for users.

The role requires Cisco expertise, DNS/DHCP/IPAM proficiency, and collaboration with stakeholders to implement best practices and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional IT experience in network operations.
• CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to network outages with regular status updates.
• Plan IOS upgrades and switch/router replacements following change control.
• Troubleshoot DNS/DHCP/IPAM and voice/network integration issues.
• Create and maintain network and telephony documentation (KB articles).
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate team tasks.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to resolve complex problems.
