CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler seeks an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy and support Aruba CX/OS networks, wireless, Central and ClearPass. 3-month contract, fully remote, Inside IR35, British nationals only due to project constraints.

The role focuses on secure, resilient enterprise networking, handling migrations, upgrades and incident resolution while coordinating with IT teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE Aruba networking technologies.
• Proven experience with Aruba CX Switching and ArubaOS Switching.
• Experience designing, configuring and supporting Aruba wireless solutions.
• Experience administering Aruba Central.
• Experience implementing Aruba ClearPass.
• Good understanding of Dynamic Segmentation and NAC.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, STP, LACP/Link Aggregation, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, certificate-based authentication and network security.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• ITIL-based service management experience

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in HPE Aruba networking technologies to support, maintain and enhance enterprise network infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience across Aruba switching, wireless networking, Aruba Central and ClearPass, with the ability to design, implement and troubleshoot complex network environments.

You will play a key role in maintaining secure, resilient and high-performing network services, supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations and transformation projects, as well as providing operational support and resolving complex network incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and support HPE Aruba network infrastructure, including Aruba CX and ArubaOS switching solutions.
• Manage enterprise campus and branch networking environments, ensuring availability, resilience and performance.
• Design, implement and support enterprise wireless networks, including Aruba Access Points and Mobility Controllers.
• Administer Aruba Central, monitoring network health, performance, compliance and generating operational reporting.
• Configure and manage Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, supporting Network Access Control (NAC), 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+ and certificate-based authentication.
• Implement network segmentation, dynamic segmentation and role-based access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, wireless connectivity, authentication and network performance.
• Support network refresh, migration, upgrade and transformation activities.
• Conduct wireless surveys, coverage assessments and performance optimisation.
• Use diagnostic and monitoring tools, including Wireshark, SolarWinds and PRTG, to investigate incidents and identify root causes.
• Integrate network security solutions with Active Directory and wider identity services.
• Produce technical documentation, support procedures and incident reports.
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to continually improve network services.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE Aruba networking technologies.
• Proven experience with Aruba CX Switching and ArubaOS Switching.
• Experience designing, configuring and supporting Aruba wireless solutions, including Access Points and Mobility Controllers.
• Strong experience administering Aruba Central.
• Practical experience implementing and managing Aruba ClearPass.
• Good understanding of Dynamic Segmentation and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Strong networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, certificate-based authentication and network security.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking environments.
• Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG or equivalent.
• Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
