Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The role involves consulting on advanced IT technologies and delivering end-to-end network connectivity, security, and cloud-ready solutions for a global enterprise.

The position requires a minimum of 10 years IT experience with a relevant degree (or 15 years substituted), and active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. IAT Level II certification and experience across multiple network domains are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required.
• 15 years total IT experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g. Security+) is required.
• Experience in at least two of the listed network domains and technologies.
• Ability to perform elaborate analyses and prepare reports and presentations.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction MD., area.

Our team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required. 15 years total of IT related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Routers/switches
  • Cisco IOS/Junos OS
  • Firewalls
  • LAN/WAN/CAN
  • Hubs/Bridges/gateways
  • Network packet investigation/analysis tools
  • Database tools
• Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
• Ability to perform elaborate analyses and studies and prepare reports and give presentations.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience performing DDI (Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) for critical network infrastructure services.
• Experience supporting MultiCloud Fabric (MCF) infrastructure.
• Cloud engineering and modernization experience.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
