Peraton seeks a Network Architect to join our Annapolis Junction team, delivering next-generation WAN architectures and an integrated set of network engineering services for a global enterprise. You will work on architecture, deployment, and security across advanced information technologies and cloud migrations.

The role requires top-tier security credentials, extensive networking experience, and the ability to coordinate with vendors to resolve complex issues and justify technical investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline and extensive SE experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• Experience designing network solutions using TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6/SRv6.
• Experience with Ethernet Technology (10G, 100G).
• Experience with IPSEC, MACSEC, VPNs.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS and JUNOS.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors on feasibility and escalation of issues.
• DoD8570 IAT Level 2 Certification.

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Network Architect t to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms. We are currently seeing a Network Architect/Engineer to design the next-generation of WAN architecture.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline and minimum of 14 years of system engineering experience is required. Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Five (5) years of additional SE related experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, totaling 19 years of SE experience.
• Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
• Experience with designing network solutions using TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6/SRv6 (Segment Routing v6)
• Experience with designing network solutions using Ethernet Technology (10G, 100G)
• Experience with designing secure network solutions using IPSEC, MACSEC, VPNs
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS and JUNOS
• Proficiency coordinating with vendor on solution technical feasibility, in addition to escalation of network hardware, software and/or other configuration issues
• Experience developing technical business case for development activities
• Minimum of DoD8570 IAT Level 2 Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to develop test plans and conduct testing of architectures as required
• Ability to perform Tier 3 sustainment as required
• Advanced vendor certification desirable (Cisco and /or Juniper) such as CCIE or CCNP or equivalent

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
