Job summary

SAHARA Las Vegas is seeking a Network Engineer to lead planning, staging, configuring, and deploying switching upgrades across the casino and resort. You will manage hardware RMAs and participate in technology evaluations, lab testing, and PoC work.

The role emphasizes engineering, operations, and hands-on work in IDFs/MDFs, with opportunities to grow in switching, routing, wireless, security, and automation, plus exposure to Nutanix, VMware vCenter, and Proxmox.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in network engineering or administration, preferably in hospitality/24/7 operations.
• Active certification: Aruba AOS-CX or AOS-Switch, CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, or higher.
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise switching platforms (Aruba or Cisco/Juniper).
• Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking, VLANs, trunking, routing, DHCP/DNS, QoS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, stage, configure, and deploy switching upgrades across the property.
• Own hardware RMAs end to end, including diagnosis and vendor coordination.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise switching environments (VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, QoS).
• Monitor network health, respond to incidents, and document changes.
• Support virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VMware vCenter, Proxmox) and upcoming voice system deployments.
