We seek the best and brightest telecommunications network engineers with 8 or more years of experience to join our certified, award-winning, and innovative information technology team. Jobs are located in various parts of Maryland, such as Columbia.
Role Overview: A telecommunication network engineer performs maintenance and sustainment of existing networks, and identifies/corrects issues. Responsibilities include resolving routine network problems, operating network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and network simulators. Monitors data or voice system networks for messages, alarms, or issues, and activates scripts as alarms occur. Confirms message accuracy, determines issue severity, and initiates resolution. Troubleshoots problems using scripts and routine procedures, escalating as needed. Researches issues to resolve using predefined procedures, documents results, and communicates issues and actions taken. Executes scheduled maintenance routines, identifies and resolves issues, and performs first- and/or second-level problem determination. Interfaces with users and vendors, following detailed work instructions.
