Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate the network infrastructure connecting Terabase projects, users, and cloud environments. Lead health, performance, and security across enterprise LAN-WAN and cloud networking with significant architectural influence.

The role involves designing and deploying LAN/WAN, managing AWS/Azure networking, capacity planning, security integration, and documentation. Hybrid work options are available within our distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Architect and manage cloud networking across AWS/Azure— VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, transit gateways, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
• Lead network capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience/high-availability design.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls with security team.
• Monitor network health with observability tools; troubleshoot complex connectivity issues.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration management using scripting and IaC.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, runbooks, and standards.
• Respond to and lead resolution of network incidents, including on-call participation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on network design decisions.

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls in partnership with the security team.
• Monitor network health using observability and monitoring tools; troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity, latency, and performance issues.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration management using scripting and infrastructure-as-code.

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate the network infrastructure that connects Terabase’ s Projects, users, and cloud environments. You will own the health, performance, and security of both our enterprise/campus LAN-WAN footprint and our cloud networking, working as part of a distributed team to keep connectivity fast, reliable, and secure. This is a hands‑on role with significant influence over architecture and standards.

Nice to Have

• Industry certifications such as CCNP / CCIE, or cloud networking certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
• Experience with SD-WAN networking and/or SASE Solutions
• Exposure to wireless design and management (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki).
• Hands-on firewalling experience with enterprise platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point), including rule management and policy design.
• Experience operating in environments with compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NERC CIP).
