Job summary

Parasol Alliance is a technology solutions company serving the senior living industry. The Network Engineer will manage day-to-day network operations for clients and assist with strategic network design.

Responsibilities include designing and supporting LAN/WAN/Wireless networks, managing upgrades and security solutions, and handling on-call escalations. Remote work from the United States is supported with PTO and reimbursement benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, installing, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting networks and firewall security. CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Manage LAN/WAN/Wireless devices; design, install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot networks.
• Manage projects related to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
• Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, URL filtering, and IDS.
• Establish and maintain system/OS upgrades for network infrastructure.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation including off-hours and weekends.
• Escalate network issues from Tier 1 and 2 support and from network administrators.

Position Mission

The network engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day network operations on behalf of the clients, as well as assist with systems and network optimal design from a strategic perspective.

Responsibilities

• Managing LAN/WAN/Wireless network devices. This includes the design, installation, upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting of networks.
• Manage projects related to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
• Manage security solutions, including but not limited to firewall, anti-virus, URL filtering, and intrusion detection systems.
• Establish and maintain standard system\OS upgrades for network infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation including off‑hours and weekends.
• Act as an escalation point for network issues from tier 1 and 2 support. Act as an escalation point for network issues from network administrators.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience with the design, installation, upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting of networks and firewall security. Cisco CCNA

Qualifications Preferred:

• Cisco CCNA, CCDA, and CCNP certifications, or recognized certification experience

Position Expectations

Within the first 30 days the Network Engineer will be accountable for: Learning and adhering to established policies and standards as defined in The Culture File Learning and leveraging Parasol provided tools Demonstrating competency in role responsibilities based on the above metrics After 60 days the Network Engineer will be accountable for: Meeting and maintaining the above metrics while carrying a ticket load of 10-15 tickets and 10-20 project tasks.

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 80,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
