Job summary

Bug Tussel Wireless is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will work with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our network systems in a hybrid remote environment in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include designing network solutions, configuring routers and switches, firewalls, and optical transport gear; monitoring performance; and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure security and data integrity

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of network administration and engineering principles.
  • CCNA and/or CCDA certification required.
  • Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and HSRP.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions based on business requirements.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and optical transport equipment.
  • Assist with FTTH network design and provisioning of equipment.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network security and data integrity.
  • Conduct regular network audits to identify areas for improvement.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our network systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network solutions based on business requirements
  • Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and optical transport network
  • Assist with FTTH network design and implementation of equipment
  • Manage the circuit design and provisioning on the transport network
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network security and data integrity
  • Conduct regular network audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Seek and participate in educational opportunities as needed to refresh, update, and enhance skills and knowledge that pertain to job responsibilities, company operations, customer interests, and industry outlook
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of network administration and engineering principles
  • Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification, required
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Ability to perform network monitoring and analysis using tools such as Wireshark or Nagios
