Job summary

HTC Global Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer focused on Cisco infrastructure for enterprise and data center environments. You will evaluate LAN, data center, and perimeter networks and drive remediation with IT leadership.

The role requires CCNP and extensive hands-on experience; growth opportunities with clients and long-term career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Active CCNP certification in Enterprise or Data Center; current CCNP required.
• 8+ years of enterprise or data center network engineering; 12+ for Principal.
• Experience leading network assessments and formal deliverables.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Expert L2/L3 switching with VLANs, STP, vPC, LACP, SVIs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP/VRRP.
• Strong HA design, security architecture, and NGFW integration.
• Hands-on fiber optics with SFP/QSFP, SMF/MMF, DOM.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Wireshark, or similar tools.
• Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills.
• Preferred: CCIE or CCDE; healthcare/life sciences familiarity.
• Preferred: VXLAN/EVPN, NIST CIS Controls, network automation, Arista EOS.

Responsibilities

• Assess LAN, data center, and perimeter network topology, configurations, and lifecycle.
• Identify single points of failure and redundancy gaps (HSRP/VRRP, vPC, port-channels, STP).
• Evaluate security posture, segmentation, firewall-switch integration, and Layer 2 controls.
• Document findings in risk-rated gap assessment with current/target diagrams.
• Recommend remediation strategies and phased roadmap for architecture changes.
• Present findings to IT leadership and lead remediation activities.

Salary: $72,000 - 112,000 per year

Requirements

• Active Cisco CCNP certification in Enterprise or Data Center; candidates without a current CCNP will not be considered.
• At least 8 years of enterprise or data center network engineering experience, or 12+ years for Principal-level candidates.
• Proven experience leading network assessments or architecture reviews and producing formal deliverables.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Expert Layer 2/3 switching experience with VLANs, STP, vPC, LACP, SVIs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and HSRP/VRRP.
• Strong knowledge of high-availability design, network security architecture, and NGFW integration.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optics, including SFP/QSFP, SMF/MMF, and DOM.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or similar.
• Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills.
• Preferred: CCIE or CCDE certification, especially for Principal-level candidates.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or laboratory environments, including familiarity with HIPAA.
• Preferred: Experience with VXLAN/EVPN, knowledge of NIST CSF or CIS Controls, network automation experience, or experience with Arista EOS.

• Identify single points of failure and redundancy gaps involving HSRP/VRRP, vPC, port-channels, STP design, and routing convergence.
• Evaluate our security posture, including segmentation, firewall-to-switch integration, management plane hardening, and Layer 2 security controls.
• Document findings in a risk-rated gap assessment report with current-state and target-state diagrams.
• Recommend remediation strategies and develop a phased roadmap covering quick wins and longer-term architecture changes.
• Present findings to IT leadership and support or lead remediation activities.
