Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join a multi-site enterprise environment in Newington, CT. This on-site, permanent role focuses on owning and evolving a Cisco Meraki–driven network infrastructure, with exposure to security projects and modernization efforts.

You will design, implement, and maintain networks, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across teams to drive improvements while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a Network Engineer role or similar.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, firewalls, WAN/LAN, VPN, layer 2/3, TCP/IP.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of network security measures and protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player with independent work ability.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain networks using Cisco Meraki, VMware, and other advanced technologies.
• Implement and manage security measures including firewalls, VPN, and Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve WAN/LAN, layer 2/3, TCP/IP networking issues.
• Conduct regular network performance tests and backups.
• Collaborate to develop and implement network enhancements and projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure robust infrastructure.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and changes.

• 5. Strong knowledge of network security measures and protocols.
• 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 7. A team player attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
• 8. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent would be a plus.
