Job summary

Dawar Consulting seeks a Senior Network Engineer for a long-term contract located in Milpitas, CA. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN networks with expert-level routing and switching expertise.

Key duties include configuring routers/switches, managing BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VLANs, and related technologies. CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure is highly preferred, with CCNP considered for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Cisco Routing & Switching.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel.
• Experience with enterprise routers and switches.
• CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preferred; CCNP with strong advanced networking experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and network connectivity issues.
• Work with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
• Support switching technologies including VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, and ACLs.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Support network implementation, upgrades, migrations, and project activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams and maintain network documentation.
