Job summary

Dawar Consulting Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a long-term contract position based in Milpitas, California. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise LAN/WAN networks, with hands-on work on routers, switches, and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network engineering, strong Cisco routing and switching experience, and familiarity with BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and related technologies. CCIE is highly preferred.

Qualifications

7+ years of Network Engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Cisco Routing & Switching.
Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel.
Experience with enterprise routers and switches.
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preferred; CCNP with strong advanced networking experience considered.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and network connectivity issues.
Work with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
Support switching technologies including VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, and ACLs.
Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues.
Support network implementation, upgrades, migrations, and project activities.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams and maintain network documentation.
