Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Network Engineer to join our global network team. You’ll help define configuration standards, provision devices, and manage corporate circuits to support a high-performance, secure network behind a product used by billions of people.

You’ll work hands-on, balance shipping with quality, and participate in on-call rotations. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, as is a practical understanding of BGP, TCP/IP and internal routing protocols.

• Knowledge of backbone and datacenter networks.
• Working knowledge of wireless technologies.
• Knowledge of at least one internal routing protocol and day-to-day operation.
• Working knowledge of corporate networking.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define configuration and architecture standards
• Qualification of new platforms
• Provisioning of network devices in corporate offices and POPs as per documented procedures
• Provisioning and management of corporate circuits
• Continuous improvement of configuration standards and operational procedures
• Continuous improvement of corporate device monitoring
• Liaise with third parties, IT and remote office users to fix and resolve issues
• Creation and execution of scheduled changes, process & documentation
• Participate in the on call rotation
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems, firmware updates and configurations
• Monitoring network performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
• Troubleshooting: Analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help to define configuration and architecture standards
• Contribute to the qualification of new platforms
• Provisioning of network devices in corporate offices and POPs as per documented procedures
• Provisioning and management of corporate circuits

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with the following:
• Multiple networking vendors, such as Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Arista
• Remote Access
• Network security and NAC
• Scripting and automation of network operations activities

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
