Job summary

TEKsystems, Inc. seeks a contract Network Technician/Engineer to service a large scale Enterprise Navy network in Indian Head, MD.

You will be part of a team maintaining Cisco, Aruba, Brocade, Juniper, Riverbed, and McAfee devices, including routers, switches, VPNs, and WAN accelerators. You will install and maintain devices onsite, troubleshoot outages with NOC, and follow established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• CCNA Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Network administration experience – BGP/OSPF routing/command line experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain network devices at the site.
• Work with the NOC technicians and managers to troubleshoot outages and resolve network related issues.
• Create tickets for maintenance using HPE Service Manager.
• Understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures.
• Perform escalation and additional tasks as directed.
• Take direction from the Regional Leader and Site Leaders.
• Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model.

This position's primary role will be servicing a large scale Enterprise network. You will be part of a Team of Network Technicians and Engineers servicing the Navy sites. This network includes Cisco, Aruba, Brocade, Juniper, Riverbed and McAfee network devices to include Routers, Switches, Access Points, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and WAN Accelerators.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
