Job summary

MAXISIQ, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to join a mission-focused team that designs, builds, and maintains customer infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role offers exposure to major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), security-focused design practices, on-call duties, and opportunities to work across software, hardware, and network security. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with Full Poly security clearance and be willing to travel up to 5%.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Network Engineer. They will be a part of a mission focused fast-paced team that designs, builds, and maintains customer infrastructure. The ideal candidate is one that is creative, motivated, and enjoys working across the whole networking lifecycle. The individual will gain extensive experience with networking engineering in the major cloud providers along with traditional on-premises networking. The team builds unique and non-traditional networking solutions to rapidly meet our client’s needs. The role also providers O&M for the network solutions so the candidate network engineer will need to support periodic on-call duty.

• Design and implement routing and switching network solutions in on-premises environments
• Design and implement cloud native networking capabilities in cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and performance issues
• Provide secure solutions for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure
• Build and maintain complex firewall rulesets and zone-based controls in vendor platforms such as Juniper SRX and the Cisco ASA
• Design, build, and troubleshoot IPSec solutions
• Montior the network health and availability status using network management capabilities such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Communicate clearly to the team, leadership, and stakeholders and provide thorough documentation and drawings of solutions and issues.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Strong routing and switching knowledge that is commensurate with professional networking certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols to include BGP and OSPF
• Significant experience with configuring and maintaining firewalls
• Substantial experience with producing network designs and the maintenance of networks that include activities such as break-fix and software updates
• Demonstrated experience with cloud networking in at least one of the major cloud providers. (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to describe complex systems and applications to other team members, senior management, and customers
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills and the ability to offer creative solutions while still able to converge on the best solution within the team
• Significant experience troubleshooting issues related to cloud, networking infrastructure, security, IPSec and the ability to provide timely solutions to resolution
• Must be able to verify and maintain an active TS/SCI w Full Poly security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be willing to travel up to 5% (both CONUS and OCONUS).
