Job summary

Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in New Jersey seeks a Network Engineer to provide tiered support for network, telecom, and security issues. You will analyze problems, perform upgrades, and assist with vendor coordination while traveling to branches in NJ and NYC as required.

The role requires a 4-year CS degree or equivalent experience, strong MS Office skills, and 3–5 years in network engineering with hardware such as routers, switches, servers, and firewalls, plus VOIP knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced PC experience and MS Office products.
• 3–5 years with client-server technologies in a Network Engineer role or similar.
• 3–5 years with hardware infrastructure including routers (Cisco preferred), switches, servers, firewalls.
• Knowledge of phone systems and VOIP.
• Expert networking knowledge across multiple site environments and websites.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second level escalation support for network, telecom and security issues.
• Analyze network issues and resolve/escalate as needed.
• Perform planned Cisco IOS upgrades and configuration changes.
• Perform firewall changes and firewall installs and upgrades.
• Remediate IDS/IPS and Network Monitoring system events.
• Verify daily/weekly/monthly reports and remediate as necessary.
• Conduct peer reviews and basic testing for changes performed.
• Place and escalate tickets with vendors.
• Serve as Technical Contact for routine vendor calls at remote/branch locations.
• Travel to NJ/NYC branches as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 4 – year degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced PC experience: Advanced knowledge of MS/Office products.
• 3 - 5 years working with client-server technologies as a Network Engineer or similar capacity.
• 3 - 5 years working experience with hardware/infrastructures to include routers (CISCO preferred), switches, servers, firewalls.
• Knowledge of phone systems and voice over IP (VOIP).
• Expert knowledge of networking, supporting multiple site environments and websites.

Pay: $75,687.00 - $98,917.00 per year
