Job summary

Eccalon, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support reliable, secure network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments in Detroit, MI. You will ensure high availability and performance to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on troubleshooting skills, experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba hardware, cloud networking, and automation scripting, and collaborates well with systems, security, and application teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, zero-trust networking, or network automation.
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, Network+).

This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud-based networks while supporting business and application needs.
