Job description

Piper Companies is hiring a Network Engineer for a pharmaceutical and healthcare company that makes treatments for diabetes and chronic conditions located in Clayton, NC. The Network Engineer will provide Tier 1 IT network support for a large-scale facility expansion report.

Network Engineer will work onsite five days a week in Clayton, NC in a one-year contract role.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network devices and infrastructure systems
• Ensure network security and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
• Manage and maintain network systems, including updates and lifecycle improvements
• Implement and support IT network projects, including setup, testing, and deployment
• Create and maintain accurate network documentation and coordinate with IT teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong foundation in networking
• Experience in manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments with ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Knowledge of network setup, cabling, and documentation, including diagrams and system layouts
• Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus

Compensation

• $140,000 - $165,000 at an hourly pay rate
