Role Description
This full-time, on-site Network Engineer role is based in Chicago, IL. The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and high performance across enterprise environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring network devices, monitoring network health, performing diagnostics, and resolving incidents to minimize downtime. The role involves applying network security best practices, managing firewalls and access controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support new deployments and infrastructure upgrades. The Network Engineer will document network configurations, maintain technical diagrams, and contribute to standards and policies that support scalable and secure operations.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, with experience architecting and deploying enterprise network solutions.
• Hands-on Network Administration capabilities, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and related devices.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting network issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing effective resolutions.
• Knowledge of Network Security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, access control, and best practices for securing network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with common networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP) and tools for performance monitoring.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, or equivalent experience are beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL, collaborate with global teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
