Job summary

HCLTech seeks an experienced Network Engineer in Bethlehem, PA to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless devices, with Nexus data center familiarity and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

The role requires CCNP Routing and Switching or equivalent, 7–8 years of experience in BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, LAN/WAN architectures, and hands-on work with Infoblox, SolarWinds, and F5 load balancers. On-call 24x7 readiness and collaboration with vendors are essential.

Qualifications

• CCNP Routing and Switching or equivalent preferred.
• 7–8 years of experience with BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
• Extensive LAN/WAN, data center, and overlay technologies experience.
• Nexus 2/3/5/7/9K platforms exposure.
• Experience with Infoblox, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, F5 load balancers.

Responsibilities

CCNP- Routing and switching or equivalent certification - Preferred

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configuring and troubleshooting the Cisco Routing, Switching , Firewalls & Wireless
• Knowledge on Cisco ACI and implementation
• Ability to implement and administer the network devices (e.g., routers, switches , wireless & firewalls )
• Perform network maintenance and Device upgrades including patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Configure and troubleshooting the WAN optimizer
• Experience in Wifi products such as cisco WLC and Access points.
• Must be open for 24x7 environments
• Monitor performance and ensure devices availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• On-call support during the Weekdays and Weekends
• Managing the Ip addresses and Resolving Conflicts
• Experience in the use of network Monitoring tools
• Support in DR tests/failover from WAN perspective.
• Providing network engineering support and training to other team members.
• Ability to manage the devices through Cisco Prime Infrastructure
• Managing the DNS Records with third party Vendor
• Managing and updating the CMDB on Snow
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols.
• Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
• Hands-on experiences in Data Centre switching, routing, and overlay technologies.
• Excellent Exposure to current Leaf>Spine>Leaf architectures, validated designs, and methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of dynamic routing protocols Eigrp, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP.
• Excellent exposure to Nexus 2/3/5/7/9K platforms
• Excellent exposure to DNS, DHCP & IPAM.
• Strong Experience in managing & troubleshooting Nexus/cisco switches with FEX, VPC, VXLAN, VDC's etc.
• Experience with Routers, switches, HSRP, VRRP & GLBP redundancy protocols, Firewalls
• Strong troubleshooting skills by providing support for any network & security related issues
• Experience in monitoring tools like Solar Winds, thousand eye
• Experience in Infoblox.
• Experience in Load balancers such F5(LTM, GTM)
