Intermediate Level:
Manages and performs maintenance on existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet.
Provides comprehensive analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations.
Evaluates communication hardware and software, making recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
Troubleshoots complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems independently.
Provides technical expertise for network performance monitoring, optimization, and configuration.
Offers technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
Develops and maintains detailed network documentation and diagrams.
Implements and manages network security measures and best practices.
Senior Level:
Leads the management and maintenance of existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet.
Provides high-level analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations.
Evaluates and recommends advanced communication hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
Troubleshoots complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems, providing expert-level resolution.
Offers technical expertise for network performance optimization, capacity planning, and configuration management.
Provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
US Citizen with Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance upon hire
Strong proficiency in LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
Experience with network security implementation and best practices. Solid understanding of network performance optimization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Senior:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
8-11 years of extensive experience in network engineering and architecture (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
US Citizen with Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance upon hire
Expert-level knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies.
Advanced understanding of network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
Extensive experience with network security implementation and best practices.
