Intermediate Level:

• Manages and performs maintenance on existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet.

• Provides comprehensive analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations.

• Evaluates communication hardware and software, making recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

• Troubleshoots complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems independently.

• Provides technical expertise for network performance monitoring, optimization, and configuration.

• Offers technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

• Develops and maintains detailed network documentation and diagrams.

• Implements and manages network security measures and best practices.

Senior Level:

• Leads the management and maintenance of existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet.

• Provides high-level analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3-8 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

• US Citizen with Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance upon hire

• Strong proficiency in LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).

• Experience with network security implementation and best practices. Solid understanding of network performance optimization techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Senior:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• 8-11 years of extensive experience in network engineering and architecture (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

• US Citizen with Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance upon hire

• Expert-level knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies.

• Advanced understanding of network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
