Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer to own design, engineering, and operations of AWS IP networks for public sector regions.

The role offers end-to-end responsibility and collaboration with software teams to automate deployments and improve reliability. The incumbent will drive scalable network solutions, mentor engineers, and manage projects across multiple data centers with on-call responsibilities and potential security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ownership of current and new IP networks (design, engineering, operations).
• Lead the design and evolution of highly available hyper-scale networks from concept to launch.
• Define and influence strategy within and outside the team; lead projects delivering customer benefits.
• Work with network engineers and software developers to automate deployment and operations; review and implement changes.
