Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Network Deploy Technician to support design, delivery, and operation of our global infrastructure. You will help scale networks, assist capacity management, and contribute to network automation across AWS data centers.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, migration, installation of new equipment, and close collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure reliable cloud access.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.

Job Overview

Network Deploy Technician in AWS Infrastructure Services. The role supports the design, planning, delivery and operation of AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continuous access to the cloud for customers. Responsibilities include driving stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, scaling support across data center locations, assisting capacity management, and automating network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs and gangways safely without limitation.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry standard certifications (BICSI, CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
• Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and core networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
