Job summary

Peraton seeks a Network Defense Engineer to support SITEC-3 EOM at MacDill AFB, FL. You will design advanced telemetry systems to gain full visibility into network traffic and adversary behaviors, serving as the technical authority on network events.

You will translate threat intelligence into actionable mitigations, deploy countermeasures, and collaborate with enterprise security teams in a 24x7 mission environment, ensuring mission networks stay protected.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT II certification required; TS/SCI clearance.
• CCNA certification required.
• Minimum years aligned with educational attainment as listed in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Telemetry Systems: design, develop, integrate telemetry for visibility across the enterprise network boundary.
• Network Traffic Analysis: identify and characterize complex cyber events and abnormal traffic.
• Countermeasures: develop and test network-based countermeasures to detect and disrupt adversary operations.
• Design Mitigations: advise on enterprise security design and improvements.
• Threat Intelligence Integration: automate ingestion of threat intel into sensor grids.
• Strategic Capability Planning: evaluate emerging defense tech and run PoC to productionize capabilities.
