Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team and support the DHS CBP Network Operations Center (NOC). You will manage, maintain, and automate enterprise network configurations across a large-scale, multi-vendor environment, implementing changes and developing automation workflows.

You will collaborate with network operations, engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to support secure and efficient network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in enterprise networking.
• U.S. Citizenship required for CBP and government positions.
• Ability to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise network engineering or operations.
• 2+ years in network automation, configuration management, or automated deployment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network devices across a large-scale environment.
• Use network automation platforms to deploy and manage device configurations.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows for provisioning and upgrades.
• Automate ACL updates, VLAN provisioning, and policy changes with compliance checks.
• Perform backups, version control, and change validation for continuity.
