Job summary

Island Finance LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking a Network & Communication Specialist to oversee the operational phase of voice and data connectivity across branches, offices, and cloud services. You will optimize LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN, enterprise Wi‑Fi, VPNs, IP telephony, and secure cloud links with OCI and AWS.

The role requires hands-on experience with Fortinet devices, SD‑WAN, and VoIP/SIP, plus ITIL-aligned incident response and security practices within a financial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or CS.
• 3+ years administering multi-site networks in regulated environments.
• Proficiency in core networking concepts and vendor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, enterprise Wi‑Fi, VPN, and cloud links.
• Manage Fortinet firewalls/IPS, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, and security policies.
• Monitor performance using NPM/NTA/SNMP/NetFlow; respond to incidents (Tier II/III).
• Coordinate SIP trunks, SBC, QoS for VoIP; integrate with contact center services.
• Ensure policy compliance, ITIL change controls, and routine DR/BCP support.
