Job summary

TNS Inc. seeks a Network and Capacity Planner to support Waypoint Trading Solutions infrastructure growth, capacity management, and site readiness. The role coordinates data center space, power, racks, and colocation with internal teams and external vendors.

You will document workloads, track deployments, and provide leadership with capacity forecasts and risks, leveraging Nlyte, Salesforce, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in the IT industry supporting data center design, data center operations, capacity management, or in a delivery project management role.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network design principles, IP network design concepts, traffic engineering, and equipment capacity planning.
• Experience interacting with DCIM tools, Salesforce, project management tools, and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Capacity Planning Management - assist senior planning resources in developing and maintaining Capacity Management Plans for data center power and space, and network switch port availability for Waypoint products and services.
• Lifecycle & Inventory Management - manage inventory tracking for data center hardware, focusing on network switching infrastructure availability and lead times.
• Infrastructure Deployment Management - support Waypoint growth initiatives and network expansion activities, including vendor deliverables and overall physical site readiness.
• Streamline Hosting Onboarding Activities - manage Waypoint-related Nlyte and Salesforce work order activities, ensuring changes are documented, completed, and escalated as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
